Abstract

Veterinary services are inevitably an integral part of pet health and welfare, but not all pet owners bring their pets to visit a veterinarian regularly, because many believe they understand their pets very well and are knowledgeable and competent to handle situations with the support of online resources; many also worry that their pets will suffer from negative stress outweighing the benefit of veterinary care. Pet health is dependent on the perceptions and behaviours of pet owners, who act as key decision-makers in pets’ lives.
