EDGE EFFECTS: Wormholes Between Lubbock and Hong Kong

Abstract

Michael Leung will share a recent history of land movements in Hong Kong, focusing and expanding on edge effects—'what else is going on' in these homes, habitats, and social and political spaces. Through convivial resistance and participatory action research, how can tangible stories and instances of a life shared in common travel from Hong Kong to Lubbock? Or even be fed into a wormhole, where conversations and nutritious exchanges may take place?
