Abstract
Some results on the global existence and long time behavior of the shock fronts for some hyperbolic systems are presented. Those systems include the compressible Euler equations with relaxation to model flood waves and Euler equations coupled with the electric fields. The problems considered can be formulated as some free boundary problems.
