Abstract

A dual-band patch antenna with two U-shaped slots is demonstrated. By varying the length of the two arms of each slot, the frequency ratio can be tuned from about 1.43 to 1.6 and a considerable antenna size reduction for fixed dual-frequency operation can be achieved.
