Abstract
This paper presents a novel 16× 16 dual-polarized folded transmitarray (DP-FTA) operating at 24 GHz. Conventional FTAs typically allow the transmission of only one polarization while reflecting the orthogonal polarization, thereby making the realization of dual polarization challenging. In this study, we propose a novel solution by utilizing DP phase-tuning reflective and transmissive metasurfaces together with a short backfire antenna source to achieve a DP-FTA with feed blockage and profile reduction. © 2024 IEEE.
