Abstract

The operation of both-way circuits increases the eficiency of the circuit utilisation by sharing the circuits between traffic orginating from either direction. In this paper, an approximated method for the dimensioning of both-way circuits with different overflow routes is presented using the equivalent random method. This proposed dimensioning method of both-way circuits has applications ranging from the routing of international calls to the interconnection of PABXs. © 1992 IEEE.
