Abstract

Technology has become more affordable and penetrates every aspect of daily life, even in developing country like Indonesia. However, many of the users in developing countries are still having difficulty in using the technologies due to lack of experience as they undergo a technology leap. This paper will look at one of the commonly used technology which is the mobile phone. Many people can afford to have cell phones but experience difficulties in making full use of them, such that they only operate the basic functions. This study explores two different approaches in designing for non eLiterate user, speech and graphical based approach.
