Research output: Chapters, Conference Papers, Creative and Literary WorksRGC 32 - Refereed conference paper (with host publication)peer-review

Abstract

A novel design of miniature embedded antenna for ultra wide band communication system based on hierarchical genetic algorithms (HGA) with method of moments (MoM) is presented in this paper. The proposed antenna consists of a patterned patch and ground with shorting pins, the number and locations of which are optimized by GA, with a total volume within 21×21×4mm 3. It can provide ultra wide bandwidth from 3.2GHz - 11GHz. The details of the design are discussed. © 2005 IEEE.
