Abstract
A quasi-linear control strategy for regulating DC/DC converters under wide parameter variation is implemented using a digital signal processor. The design of this DSP-based controller is presented. Since the control method allows realtime modification of control parameters according to the changing environment, the resulting control shows significant improvement in performance over conventional methods. The proposed controller, being a programmable digital circuit, is highly reliable and flexible. The paper demonstrates the use of digital signal processors in controlling power converters. © 1997 Taylor and Francis Group LLC.
