Abstract
In this paper, a dense dielectric patch antenna is proposed. It has the same performance as the conventional microstrip patch antenna. It operates at 3.98GHz and has an impedance bandwidth of 1%. This antenna has a symmetric radiation pattern and a gain of 5dBi. Simulation of the proposed antenna at 60GHz is provided. Results show that this new type antenna is also suitable for wireless communication operating in millimetre wave frequencies. © 2012 IEEE.
