Abstract
Deformation banding is a deformation mode which subdivides crystals into lath-like volumes in three dimensions. Its inclusion into modelling in a Taylor framework produces predictions closer to experiment that CS and B are seen to coexist without special manipulation. {110} is formed progressively in the new model and {123} should be considered as an important rolling texture component in both high and low SFE materials.
