Abstract

A strength criterion for reinforced earth as a material is derived from a theoretical analysis which relies on a homogenization procedure in yield-design. The bearing capacity for punch indentation of a reinforced earth half space is calculated from this criterion and compared to reduced scale experimental results already presented. -from English summary
