Abstract
A coordinate generation method for channel flows has been developed. An arbitrary channel, with boundaries consisting of straight elements in the physical plane, is mapped into a straight channel in the computational plane. Transformation is given separately for the periodic and non-periodic configurations. The parameters of the transformations have to be determined through successive approximations. A simple iteration scheme, that converges quite rapidly even with a poor initial guess, is presented. Solutions for different configurations are displayed to illustrate the capabilities of the method.
