Abstract

The importance of hydrogen-bond (H-bond) cooperativity in the theory of hydrogen bonding was discussed. Cooperative effects in a one-dimensional network of intermolecular bifurcated hydrogen bonding interactions were presented. The cooperative effects in the chains were shown by different indicators of H-bond strength such as energetic, structural, dielectric, vibrational frequencies, and isotropic chemical shifts.
