Abstract
Focusing on the Danish film The Five Obstructions, this essay stresses the interaction between game studies and film theory.I argue that the production of the film is organized as a competitive, constraint-based game. This approach provides a way to reconsider the direction of film studies and film production at the dawn of the digital era.
