Abstract
The key parameter entering the spin-glass temperature of a metallic spin-glass alloy is the variance of the coupling between the spins. It is estimated by using single-ion parameters. From our results we are able to explain the dependence of the spin-glass temperature on the concentration of impurities both with and without mean-free-path effects. We find that the preasymptotic corrections play an important role for dilute systems. The main source of the sublinear concentration dependence of the spin-glass temperature comes from preasymptotic corrections rather than mean-free-path effects. © 1986 The American Physical Society.
