Abstract

Compositional evolution of 18R martensite and α-Mn particles in aging a duplex Fe-Mn-Al-C alloy was studied by a Field Emission Gun Transmission Electron Microscope (FEG TEM) JOEL JEM-2010F equipped with EDS and Gatan imaging filter. A model was proposed to explain the compositional and structural evolution of the 18R martensite during aging treatment.
