Abstract
A detailed comparison of three broadside modes (TM10, TM01, TM03) of the rectangular microstrip patch antenna with regard to directivity, gain and band width is presented. Their dependences on the aspect ratio are delineated. Results are also given showing the variation of the input resistances at resonance as a function of frequency. © 1990 Taylor and Francis Ltd.
