Abstract
A compact dielectric resonator antenna (DRA), which is designed by incorporating an underlaid hybrid coupler, is studied. The proposed DRA has two output ports to provide both the wideband left- (LHCP) and right-hand (RHCP) circular polarizations, with little coupling between the ports. The return loss, axial ratio, mutual coupling, and radiation patterns of the proposed antenna configuration are studied. © 2008 IEEE.
