Abstract

A novel bandpass filter using modified compact microstrip resonant cell (CMRC) and double-sided parallel-strip line is proposed in this article. On the basis of the modified CMRC resonator, the proposed filter has compact size. Moreover, this filter obtains a low insertion loss and sharp rejection. A demonstration filter was designed, fabricated and measured. Theoretical and experimental results are presented and show good agreement. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
