Abstract

A description is given of the results of investigations of the synthesis, structures, bonding, and reactivity of a series of tungsten-osmium carbonyl cluster compounds that further demonstrate the value of the bridging sulfido ligand in cluster synthesis and epitomize the differences that exist between the localized and delocalized bonding schemes.
