Abstract
The paper begins with a brief description of the features of the ClinkNotes as a platform for machine-aided teaching of translation (project funded by CityU Project No. 7001724), such as dual mode of annotation (covering background knowledge and translation methodology), multiple modes of access to data via a system of searchwords, and the theoretical framework for methodology annotations. Examples are provided to illustrate the format of data annotation and the operation of the system to increase pedagogical efficiency. Finally, we will discuss the prospect of developing the software into a set of teaching platforms following its publication in early 2008 (Nanjing: Yilin), to cover different subjects and text types and to cater for different levels of training needs.
