Abstract
This research proposes a new circularly polarized (CP) antenna design utilizing a high-order-mode dipole. The dipole structure is compressed using a meander-line configuration. Two C-shape parasitic elements are proximity coupled by this dipole. The combination of the dipole and parasitic elements facilitates the generation of CP fields. The proposed design exhibits an overlapped bandwidth of 2.78% (2.48 - 2.55 GHz) for the -10-dB impedance and 3-dB axial ratio. Broadside radiation patterns are observed at the operating frequency. Leveraging the utilization of the high-order mode in the dipole, a maximum gain value of 9.71 dBic is obtained inside the overlapped passband. © 2024 IEEE.
