Abstract

Peeling off the layers: Boron nitride nanotubes (BNNTs) can be successfully peeled upon heating in dimethyl sulfoxide solution. The peeled BN shells can be reassembled into nanotubes branching from BNNT trunks to form Y-junction BNNTs (see TEM images). (Figure Presented). © 2006 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA.
