Abstract

The rare earth metal gadolinium (Gd) is one of the best materials for investigating critical magnetic transitions at room temperature. The unique variation of magnetic susceptibility of nano-sized Gd powder is studied. Its characteristics of fractal growth are analyzed using small angle X-ray scattering.
