Abstract
The impact of antenna correlation at mobile units (MUs) on the sum capacity of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) multiple access channels (MACs) with covariance feedback is investigated. In contrast to the common impression that correlation among antennas is detrimental, it is shown that antenna correlation at MUs is potentially beneficial for such channels. © 2009 The Institution of Engineering and Technology.
