Asian International Arbitration Centre

The Asian International Arbitration Centre (‘AIAC’) is acknowledged as the first Arbitration Centre established in Asia. It facilitates and offers various assistance in the administration of arbitral proceedings, covering different facets of arbitration, ie the enforcement of awards and setting aside of awards. The AIAC is a global arbitration hub, acting as an alternative hearing venue for multiple institutions including international practitioners, businesses, trade associations, and stakeholders from various industries. It facilitates arbitration including investor-state arbitration (→ International Investment Arbitration), sports arbitration, Domain Name Dispute Resolution, standard form of building contracts and promotion of international commercial arbitration. In 2021, the AIAC refined and clarified its rules with Arbitration Rules which reflect numerous best practises that institutions are currently providing to assist users of arbitration to avail themselves of the maximum benefit of the flexibility that arbitration offers over traditional dispute resolution methods.
