Abstract

This chapter considers the receive array beampattern synthesis problem, which aims at minimizing the peak sidelobe level under the constraints of controlled mainlobe ripples and Dynamic Range Ratio (DRR) of current excitations. Especially, when DRR = 1, the phase-only beampattern synthesis problem is solved, which targets at improving the power efficiency of the radar transmitter. © The Institution of Engineering and Technology and its licensors 2025.
