Abstract

The aqueous corrosion behaviour of the alloy Fe-8.7Al-29.7Mn-1.04C has been investigated by the anodic polarization technique. The anodic polarization behaviour of the alloy was found to be very poor compared with that of conventional 316 stainless steel. Passivation in aqueous solutions only occurs when the pH is in the range 5.55 - 6.10. © 1986.
