Abstract

This essay describes the methodology and concept behind the artwork Approximation Theory. It pays attention to the integration of visual art and mathematics. The aim is to express the mathematical concept of approximation in visual form. It was presented at the 20th Generative Art Conference, at the MAR Museum of Art in Ravenna, Italy. It was organized by the Generative Design Lab of the Politecnico di Milano University in Milan, Italy.
