Abstract
The banded diagonal matrix preconditioned conjugate gradient (CG) technique and the symmetric successive overrelaxation (SSOR) precondition CG technique are introduced to a dense matrix equation from the mixed potential integral equation (MPIE) to further enhance the computational efficiency of this method. The numerical results demonstrate that the two PCG algorithms converge to an accurate solution much faster than the conventional one.
