Abstract
We use 3-dimensional finite-difference time-domain method to investigate surface polariton coupling between two nano-recording marks which are of different shapes. The different coupling characteristics and the influence of these coupling effects on read-out reflection signal will be discussed. © 2008 Optical Society of America.
