Abstract

The POD-Kriging method is proposed, based on the combinations of POD (Proper Orthogonal Decomposition) technique and Kriging method, for the interpolations of spatial data. And the wind pressures are predicted and reconstructed based on wind tunnel test results of a large-span roof structure. The predicted results, such as mean and RMS wind pressure coefficients and fluctuating wind load characteristics in time and frequency domain, are well agree with that obtained from wind tunnel tests. The proposed method is feasible to predicting wind loads on large-span roof structure.
