Abstract

In this paper, we present an approximation method to estimate the production rate of re-entrant lines with exponential machine reliability models. Recursive procedures are developed and structural properties are investigated. The results show that the proposed method provides an acceptable accuracy in production rate approximation for re-entrant lines. © 2009 IFAC.
