An optimized wideband quarter-wave patch antenna design

Research output: Journal Publications and ReviewsRGC 21 - Publication in refereed journalpeer-review

Abstract

This letter introduces a quarter-wave patch antenna design using a newly developed jumping genes evolutionary paradigm. The impedance bandwidth is improved by the use of a trapeziform patch with a similar U-slot. Both simulated and measured results have confirmed that 80% impedance bandwidth is achievable using this design methodology. © 2005 IEEE.
