Abstract

Knowledge is an important key asset to many organizations. Organizations which can manage knowledge effectively are expected to gain competitive advantage. Information technologies have been widely employed to facilitate Knowledge Management (KM). This paper reviews and synthesise the main prior conceptual and empirical literature, resulting in a comprehensive framework for research in IT-enabled KM at the organizational level. The framework aids the generation of potential hypotheses for future research and the understanding and classification of existing KM related research.
