Abstract
In this paper, a buffering scheme is proposed to reduce the power requirement for mobile delivery. By requiring the mobile clients to avoid transmission when the link is lossy and pre-fetch aggressively when link conditions is favorable and excess bandwidth is available, overall energy consumption can be reduced without compromising user perceived video quality.
