Abstract
This paper describes an EMC assessment for a communications and information services company in Hong Kong. To determine the suitability of installing information technology (IT) equipment at a site in a typical commercial region that is densely populated, the radiated signal from 30MHz to 2GHz was measured and analyzed. The results show that on site a large amount of radio frequency interference (RFI) at various frequencies was recorded. Results of the measurement are presented and discussed here. The assessment was made with reference to various EN standards, and the purpose of this report is to provide an overview of the RFI situation in Hong Kong for ITE installation.
