Abstract

For two-dimensional photonic crystal devices, we develop an improved Dirichlet-to-Neumann map method that incorporates an operator marching scheme for reducing memory requirement and the Bloch mode expansion technique for improving the efficiency when the structure has partial periodicity. © 2007 Optical Society of America.
