Abstract

An aperture coupled wideband microstrip patch antenna (MPA) array is described in this work. The 4×4 MPA array is excited simultaneously by a shared aperture cut on a feeding waveguide. The antenna array can achieve an impedance bandwidth of 12%, covering a frequency range from 213 GHz to 240 GHz. The maximum gain of the antenna array is 16.2 dBi in the operating bandwidth.
