Abstract
This paper proposed a novel nonlinear smooth function to implement the Chua's circuit. This new function provides a similar smoothness as to the cubic polynomial function, but a faster response and a simpler circuitry can be obtained. Some bifurcation phenomena and the chaotic attractors are observed experimentally from the practical circuit. © 1998 IEEE
