abstract = "The microstructural features contributing to improved mechanical properties and hydrogen attack resistance have been studied. Carbide precipitation kinetics were accelerated in 3Cr steel compared with 21/4Cr-1Mo steel. Superior tensile properties combined with good toughness levels and resistance to hydrogen attack have been attributed to the presence of higher alloy carbides and elimination of Fe//3C from the microstructure.",
