Abstract

There are huge calculational burden because of the large computation scale and long evolution time during the phase field simulation of solidification. For this issue, the paper improves the phase field simulation to adapt to the efficient parallel processing on GPU by adopting CUDA architecture and dividing the threads properly. The experiment results show that the computation with GPU is about 36 times faster than that with a single CPU core in the same condition of computation scale and evolution time.
