Abstract
Tetranuclear cubic complexes of [Co4(heip)4(MeOH)4] (1) and [Co4(heip)4(nit-p-py)4] (2) (H2heip = 1,1,1,5,5,5-hexafluoro-4-[(2-hydroxyethyl)imino]-2-pentanone and nit-p-py = 2-(p-pyridyl)-4,4,5,5-tetramethylimidazoline-l-oxyl-3-oxide) were prepared. Complexes 1 and 2 have alkoxo-bridged cubic core structures. Magnetic susceptibility measurements revealed the occurrence of ferromagnetic interactions among CoII ions in 1, while antiferromagnetic interactions were operative in 2.
