Abstract
In this demo paper, we introduce our sensor query aggregation system, Continuous Monitoring Query Evaluation System (CMQES), which is a test-bed for studying the aggregation problems of continuous monitoring queries (CMQ) on sensor data streams in a wireless sensor networking system. A CMQ monitors the data values from sensor nodes distributed in the system environment. The objective of CMQES is to provide a configurable test-bed to study various important issues in aggregation of CMQ. An aggregation scheme, Sequential Pushing (SeqPush) has been implemented. Various system settings and parameters can easily be configured with the interface provided in CMQES, and statistics such as the number of messages, complexity in processing and the energy consumption rate at the sensor nodes, are collected. © Springer-Verlag 2004.
