Adaptive nonlinear RLS algorithm for robust filtering in impulse noise

Abstract

An adaptive nonlinear RLS algorithm for robust filtering in impulse noise is presented. The analysis of the mean and mean-square behaviours is carried out and verified by the simulation. It is shown that the new algorithm can provide a robust performance against the impulse noise and outperform the LMS counterpart and the RLS algorithm particularly when there is impulse noise.
