N2 - An adaptive nonlinear RLS algorithm for robust filtering in impulse noise is presented. The analysis of the mean and mean-square behaviours is carried out and verified by the simulation. It is shown that the new algorithm can provide a robust performance against the impulse noise and outperform the LMS counterpart and the RLS algorithm particularly when there is impulse noise.
