Abstract

A multilayered patch antenna for wideband and low cross-polarization operation is proposed. By introducing a pair of printed L-probes, the high cross-polarization levels are significantly suppressed across a wide bandwidth of 45.2% for voltage standing-wave ratio (VSWR)<2. In addition, symmetrical and stable radiation patterns are achieved. © 2006 IEEE.
