Abstract

The Dielectric Microstrip Line (DML) is a low-loss and planar transmission line for mmW and THz. However, because the DML is not a standard transmission line, a special transition is required for measurement. In this paper, a printed circuit board (PCB)-based DML is designed and fabricated for the V-band. In addition, we designed a transition between the DML and the substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) at 55-63 GHz. Good agreements between the measured and simulated results are observed.
