Abstract

Recently, design and build (DB) has been getting its popularity as an innovative project procurement method in many countries such as UK, USA, and Singapore. Whilst ample of models have been built on contractor prequalification and there are plenty of research work on exploring characteristics and applications of DB in its variant forms, few study has been focused on the contractor prequalification method applicable to Novated Design and Build (NDB). This research aims to investigate whether the existing leading works on prequalification can be adopted in NDB and what kinds of adjustments should be considered. The way forward for developing an adaptive prequalification model under NDB is proposed finally.
