Abstract

Currently, gambling, addictive gambling and the problems it generated are key concerns of parctitioners in social work, counselling and psychotherapy. Moreover, studies on the traits of people who have higher acceptance of gambling or exhibiting pathological tendencies attract researchers' attention (e.g. Pentry, 2005; Mizuguchi, 1985: Sato et al, 2005). These attitude and tendency are related to their personal conditions, apart from the cultural and social factors constituting their background. This study is to provide an overview of the youth's attitude towards gambling.
